Originally from Derby, we started dancing at the tender age of 3. Linda Cook School of Theatre Dance was the place to be when not at school. We studied many aspects of dance, Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz and Theatre Studies.
We both worked at high end Gyms as Personal trainers, Lifeguards and Group Exercise instructors, all to fund our Dance training and trips to London.
From the original Rammettes and Derby Storm Basketball, Derby pantomimes at the age of 14/15. Giving us the confidence to believe we could make this our career. After studying at summer schools in London, we started auditioning.
Our dream was to dance on cruise ships and travel the world, but ultimately land a spot in Paris at the most famous cabaret in the world, home to the high energy, leg kicking Can Can.
2002 was the year it all began, at an audition for Costa Cruises. We took ourselves and our dancing shoes to London to see how we would get on. After a gruelling 3 hours of routines, sweat and cutbacks, we were amongst the last girls standing!
We started our journey aboard Costa Allegra in the April, stayed onboard for 2 years and explored some of the most wonderful cities in the world, whilst fulfilling our dream to dance.
2004 we split, Gaynor went to Gran Canaria to lead a show and I went to Portugal to perform at the largest Casino in Europe.
On 7th July 2005, this was our chance, An open audition for the Moulin Rouge Paris. Although our excitement was tainted by the horrific London Bombings, with at least 60 others, we made it to the studios to give it our best shot at getting our dream job. After many hours of routines, kicks and cartwheels, others getting cut, we were down to the last 10!! 3 weeks later we got the call to say we would start the following March, 5 weeks of rehearsals which included 4 hours a day of intense can can training!!! Yikes! Our opening night was 11th April 2006.
Gaynor stayed at the Moulin for 10 years before giving birth to her first daughter, she got herself back in shape, returned to stage before getting Pregnant with her second daughter. Which was when she decided to move back to Derby to embrace motherhood and to give family life a go.
I stayed at Moulin for 4 years before taking another contract on a ship. P & O this time, where I began my time as choreographer, setting shows on the ships.
I returned to Paris in 2013 to continue at Moulin Rouge, I also Landed a spot to Lead another Parisian show 'Paris Je t'aime' a La Nouvelle Eve. Which is where I finished my time in Paris before coming back to Derby to get Married 16th oct 2017. I gave birth to our daughter on 16th Oct 2018.
I got myself back in shape with the help of our SHOWFIT classes in just 3 months, I was able to Choreograph and perform in the France Show at London Olympia the last week on January.
